So your homesick? Good! There isn’t a reason you shouldn’t be, and I’m about to make it a little worse, then it will all get better. Think of this time as preparation. You are soon going to be out on your own barely ever going home, barely ever seeing your mom or dad, and barely seeing any family. You are on your path to adulthood and its time to get used to it, but there are ways to help, the biggest being the weekend. When you have that spare time its always good to go visit home. Be cautious though, the more you visit home, the harder it is to get over homesickness. The second best way is to make friends that can fill the hole you have created from being away. Start spending more time with them and phase out your weekends at home. I honestly feel that this is the best way to help. You can also go out and start new hobbies, anything to keep yourself distracted. The more you do, the less you’ll be homesick. Keep to these few things and your well on your way to homesickness no more.
Take this into consideration when you are at home. (http://www.shesnotfromyorkshire.com/2012/11/22/thanksgiving-in-england-how-not-to-die-of-homesickness/)
